Western Orphean Warbler (Sylvia hortensis) Toutinegra-real

A shy, elusive and difficult summer visitor that keeps itself to itself for the most part in the tree canopy on hot, exposed rocky hillsides. Somewhat similar to the more common Sardinian Warbler, but Western Orphean Warblers can be differentiated from the latter by the lack of a red eye-ring and the pale eye itself, (though the latter is sometimes difficult to observe).
