Storm Petrel (Hydrobates pelagicus) Paínho-de-cauda-quadrata

A tiny Petrel about the size of a Wagtail or a Wheatear. As with all Petrels, Storm Petrels are strictly pelagic only coming to land during the breeding season. Petrels got their name as a corruption of St Peter who famously walked on water, though Petrels can hardly support their own weight, little as it is, with their own legs as they are so weak.
